Medici Circle To Host 2015 Holiday Soup & Champagne Supper

S+C email

The Medici Circle Board of Directors, supporting the School of Art invites you to join us on December 5, 2015 for the 2015 Holiday Soup & Champagne Supper.

Last year, the Medici Circle Board of Directors, in collaboration with the Ceramics program of the School of Art, staged two winter Soup & Champagne Suppers. Over 1OO cup donations from students, alumni and artists from around the USA were collected and used as the soup vessels for the evening’s festivities.

Not only were the soups and events delightful, the Medici Circle successfully raised enough funds to create a new scholarship endowment whose purpose is to support students in the Ceramics program. The proceeds from this year’s event will be used to augment the endowment.

Additional ceramic works by School of Art ceramics students will be on display and for sale during the supper. Proceeds from those sales will support the students directly and their travel to the 2O16 Conference of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) this coming spring in Kansas City.

Tickets for the event are only $50 person and include all the soup and champagne you can eat AND you get to keep the handmade ceramic cup.  Space at this event is limited to 50 persons.   [$30 of the ticket price is a charitable contribution to the Texas Tech Foundation for which you will receive an acknowledgement in writing from the Texas Tech Advancement Office.]
